The Waterfront Sculpture Park is home to an expanding collection of original bronze sculptures, designed to celebrate the city’s heritage and future. Halfway up the Lake Michigan coastline is a hidden treasure like no other in the state of Michigan—a unique sculpture display located in a beautiful park that provides a haven of relaxation, a place to play with children and unparalleled views of water, boats and sunsets. The sculptures, and the park where they reside, are outstanding examples of city revitalization.

During the Lumbering era Ludington’s harbor was lined with mills and industry. Today, due in part to a city redevelopment project, the waterfront has been set aside for a public park, which features connecting walkways providing easy pedestrian access to and from the adjacent downtown, waterfront benches, a large band shell for free concerts and events, and a phenomenally successful children’s playground funded and built by community volunteers. An elegant condominium development provides the backdrop, while the park encircles Harbor View Marina, a unique public/private facility that has received numerous awards as one of the finest marinas on the Great Lakes.

Bringing art, nature and history together, Ludington’s Waterfront Sculpture Park creates an environment that promotes education, reflection and personal enjoyment in an exceptionally beautiful setting. Each of the individual sculptures is a gift to the City of Ludington; in turn, the sculpture park is a gift to all who visit.

Whether you bring a picnic, listen to music in the Waterfront Park Pavilion, watch the S.S. Badger departing or arriving, or contemplate a breathtaking sunset, a visit to this free park allows you to experience the joy of art in the great outdoors.
