Sweet: A Summer Celebration
There’s a new festival coming to town, and you are invited to be a part of it! The brand new Sweet Summer Celebration will be Wednesday, July 21 - Saturday, July 24 in downtown Ludington. This multi-day festival of food, arts and culture will:
· Be promoted outside the area to draw in both day and overnight visitors
· Feature a regional or national musical performer as well as local talent
· Collaborate and partner with existing events in downtown Ludington
· Spur economic activity for our area, and spark community pride in our arts and cultural offerings
· Benefit the Ludington Area Center for the Arts
The Sweet Sounds of Summer – Schedule of Events
Throughout the Month of July: Sweet Summer Art Exhibition– Tuesday-Saturday, 12 pm- 5:30 pm. There will be an opening reception on Friday, July 2 from 6-8pm. The reception is open to the public.
Wednesday, July 21 --
* Concert rock violinist, Aaron Meyer and guitarist, Tim Ellis in concert at Epworth Heights from 7:30pm - 8:30pm. Followed by sunset reception at the Epworth Hotel. All welcome. Tickets are $10 and are available at Ludington Area Center for the Arts and at Epworth.
Thursday, July 22 –
* Free music program for kids (ages 9-14) with Aaron Meyer and Tim Ellis from noon- 4pm at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. Call the Center at 231-845-2787 to register
* Free tours of North Breakwater Lighthouse, 10am- 5pm
* Variety Talent Show & Ice Cream Social– 7:30 pm, Ludington Area Center for the Arts, Freewill offering
Friday, July 23 --

* Ludington Visiting Writers – Angela Williams; With A Cherry on Top – 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Ludington Area Center for the Arts
* VIP Reception at One Ludington Place, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
* Sweet Summer Beach Party with Brena and the Miller Beer Tent– 6- 9pm, West end of Ludington Avenue
