The Big Sable Point Lighthouse is situated on Big Point Sable north of Ludington within the boundaries of the Ludington State Park. The lighthouse is accessible by walking or biking 1.8 miles north  from the entrance of the Ludington State Park on M--116. You will be rewarded with a fabulous view from atop the 112-foot tall lighthouse tower. A gift shop is located in the original 1867 keeper's quarters. Open daily May 1st until October 30th. There is an entrance fee of $2 for adults and $1 for children 3 ft. tall through age 11 at the lighthouse.
