Whether you love spending your free time on a sled, on the ice, under a canopy of snow covered pine trees, or inside avoiding the brisk temperatures, the Ludington Area has something for everyone.

As winter forges ahead, the month of February boasts a variety of activities for travelers who want to stay inside to avoid the cold or for those who can’t resist heading outdoors to take advantage of one of the most fruitful winters we’ve seen in years.

Hey Snowmobilers!

snowmobile_picture.jpg
It’s time to fill up the gas tank and jump on your sled or on one of our member’s rental sleds because, whether it’s your first time or not, now’s the opportune time to hit the trails and witness first hand the peaceful beauty on the back of a sled.

Check out Trailhead maps on the Winter Recreation section of the CVB website.

The Free Soil Trailhead is located next to the Heidi Hof Restaurant immediately east of the Village of Free Soil. Snowmobilers will need to travel along the road for a short time before reaching the groomed trails. There are signs directing snowmobilers to the trail.

The Timber Creek Campground Trailhead is located off of US 10 approximately 3-4 miles east of Branch, which connects directly to groomed trails in the area.

Don't own a sled? Ludington Area CVB member Action Rentals can set you up. For more information, Contact Action Rentals, 231.845.8552.
