Charter Fishing
Ludington is synonymous with Great Lakes charter fishing. Since Lake Michigan sport fishing began its rejuvenation in the early 1970's, Ludington has been the focal point for charter fishing on eastern Lake Michigan. More charters originate, and more trout and salmon are caught out of the port of Ludington each year than any port in the state. The waters between Big Sauble Point to the north and Little Sauble Point to the south offer the big-lake fisherman the best fishing to be found on Michigan's Gold Coast. Proximity to deep water, excellent offshore structure, warm shoal waters, and natal river mouths make a perfect habitat for growing fat and sassy trout and salmon and make Ludington the perfect place to plan your next fishing trip.
Weekly Ludington Area Fishing Report begins May 15th!
