Ludington’s lakeshore is home to a number of breathtaking beaches that are ideal locations for vacationers looking to spend some time enjoying everything that Lake Michigan has to offer. From building sandcastles to playing beach volleyball to just laying around catching some sun, Ludington’s beaches have something for everyone.

 

Most notably, the public beach at Stearn’s Park has been the recipenient of numerous awards over the years. Recently, Ludington’s public beach at Stearn’s Park topped the Detroit Free Press showcase of Michigan’s best beaches, capturing the number one spot. The beach at Stearn’s Park was also named the 2001 #1 Public Beach in Michigan by Michigan Living. With well maintained restroom facilities, the assurance of seasonal lifeguards, and constant grooming of the sands, this is truly a beach to be experienced.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As the beach day draws to a close, finish it the right way as you celebrate the setting of the sun as it sinks into Lake Michigan, painting the sky with an array of florescent colors.
