About the CVB

Welcome to the Ludington Area, land of waterfront & wilderness. Where, in Michigan, the West Coast fuses with Northern Michigan.

While you are visiting take in our natural resources, you’ll find that our beaches, lakes, trails, and rivers are the perfect setting for the full spectrum of outdoor recreation. We have miles of sugary sand beaches along the shores of Lake Michigan leading north to one of the most popular State Parks in the entire State. Take time to soak up the sun, explore our rich history and nostalgia, and enjoy our friendly, hometown communities.

While visiting the area, be sure to experience our rolling sand dunes or jump on board on any one of our 67 charterboats to catch that “big one”. Check out the stunning natural beauty of Pere Marquette River. The river empties into Lake Michigan in Ludington and creates a focal point of the community’s beauty and the home port of the S.S. Badger, the 410-foot carferry that carries passengers and their vehicles from Ludington to Manitowoc, WI. While you’ll find a diversity of things to do here, there is one constant: friendly small-town charm and locals who are truly glad you have chosen to visit our area.

Ludington Area has much to discover with our timeless appeal, changing seasons, and our spectacular surroundings – you’ll come to love this area as much as we do! Come experience for yourself, the beauty of Ludington Area – where in Michigan the beauty of the north truly begins.

Can’t wait to see you in our neck of the woods,
